After the partial lift of lockdown 2.0 many states were running low on revenue, it's then they decided to open up liquor stores as this will give them the excise duties on a daily basis, but this act was not a right card to be played as there was no social distancing maintained at all meanwhile people got involved in many other issues. Ultimately the Maharashtra Government had to take a U-Turn on this decision. After that, there was news that the State Governments will start the sale of Liquor with help of Excise Dept. issued E-tokens and Home Delivery of liquor in order to keep the crown away.
