Can China be stripped of its Permanent Membership in UNSC?

While I was going through my phone this evening, I came across a notification from a very famous tabloid app. It read as follows “WHO asserts coronavirus “likely” came from animals and not manufactured in a lab.” How much ever we debate on the facts, statements like these still are not proven, all these reports are still dangling. While talking about facts, there is one more I would like to mention here, this report comes after The U.S. President was trying to determine whether the virus originated from a lab in Wuhan, China. The WHO and Trump Government had a dramatic fall-out over the pandemic, with the President of the U.S.A. announcing last week that he is halting his country’s funding to the organization. Which he finally did. U.S.A used to be the topmost contributor to the revenue of WHO by contributing around 400 Million Dollars a year – which is almost 15% of the total revenue that WHO use to get. Even China had rejected U.S.A’s demand to allow their team to go to...

Who will Win the Global Economic War ?

As there is no respite in the fight against the Chinese Virus, things are taking bit ugly turns around the world. In India, the war against the Chinese Virus has opened so many battlefronts. There is the unsettled labour class, the halted economy, which is going deeper into the hole, the ceasefire violation across the LOC by Pakistan is also adding to the cause of worry every single day, making the situation very tricky for the decision-makers. Where this conflict and crisis is going to take the Indian Economy? In this time of crisis, it is not easy to keep emotions in control, every one of us has come across the idea of destroying China at least once a day. And why can’t anyone be so negative, for the country which did nothing to stop the epidemic to turn into a pandemic, which in turn ruined the largest economies of the world. Where majority of the countries of the world are struggling to survive the economic mayhem, China & Chinese Companies have kept himself well prepare...

IS THE SUPPLY OF ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES ON A TOSS???

As an Indian, we all are into the last week of the 21-day lockdown, while believing the certainties it is quite uncertain that this 21-day lockdown will be the final one. It was quite clear from the decisions of the state government of Odisha and Punjab took to extend the lockdown till 30 th of April and 1 st May respectively. Now in this scenario when we all have almost properly adopted our mind, body, and soul to abide the quarantined life and trying to maintain a good social distance ( well almost majority of us) the extension of the lockdown will hardly have any impact on us, well we all know that the numbers of COVID -19 infected patients and the mortality rate is on the surge so even though we don’t like it we can still abide by the said rules (possibility of extension of lockdown period – as there is no official statement from the government at the time of writing this article.)   In this time of hardship, we all are happy to stay at home and fight our battles a...

When things go wrong, there is always a Sliver lining - Lock Down effect.

The outbreak of the COVID - 19 situations has brought a lot of discomfort to all of us in many ways. Honorable Prime Minister Of India Mr. Narendra Modi had announced a complete lockdown in the country from 25th March. Which seems to be a precautionary step towards the fight with the Chinese Virus. This means no one is allowed to move or go out of their premises unless there is an emergency - Buying Groceries and Medicines are included. Well this announcement at first seems very much  raging and bit irrational but understanding the need of the hour it is very important for all of us to abide by this as it is really a good idea to not get infected as well help in eradicating the virus (well many scholars have a different opinion on this.) We have seen many other countries that are economically and socially more powerful than us and have much better health care infrastructure, are also unable to cope up with the situation. World Health Organisation (WHO) has also praised ...

Malwan - the Quieter Goa.

It was the start of the summer of 2015. India was playing West Indies in a world cup final when we decided to go to Malwan, a quiet beach town of South Maharashtra in the Konkan belt. This was the most awaited trip for me after  Goa . The pristine Blue waters of  Tarkarli  Beach were haunting my dreams for quite a long time for now.  I quickly decided to hop in the destination with two more friends of mine. as it was a hurried decision we were left out of the option to travel by train as in Konkan belt it is always difficult to get reservations during holidays.  We decided to travel During Holi Weekend and ultimately decided to go by Bus (A standard, non-A/C) late at night. Traveling was a bit difficult but the spirit kept us moving,  Malvan  is 546 km away from Chembur,  Mumbai . Thanks to Chembur that it is so very well connected to all the places that we got the bus starting from our own suburb. Day 1. We arrived at the Malvan bu...

COVID - 19 - Fake News in the Circulation

Date: 08-04-2020 Time : 23:03 At the time when India is suffering from the surge in the number of COVID -19 infected patients, there are way too many speculations & questions arising in the minds of the Indian citizens who are almost in the last week of the 21-day lockdown which was announced by the Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi . At this time when we all are anxious about What will the next step of the Union Government? there is already some fake news floating on the internet. One of the Facebook user posted a lockdown schedule suggesting a pattern given by WHO ( World Health Organisation )  This pattern says that on 22nd March 2020 the Janta Curfew was just a trial and the Government underwent a 21days lockdown immediately 3 days after the said Janta Curfew. This 21-day lockdown will be followed by a 5-day relaxation there will be a complete lockdown for more 28 days which will again be followed by the 5-day relaxation and the reinstating of the lockdown will ha...
