Malwan - the Quieter Goa.

It was the start of the summer of 2015. India was playing West Indies in a world cup final when we decided to go to Malwan, a quiet beach town of South Maharashtra in the Konkan belt.

This was the most awaited trip for me after Goa.
The pristine Blue waters of Tarkarli Beach were haunting my dreams for quite a long time for now.
I quickly decided to hop in the destination with two more friends of mine. as it was a hurried decision we were left out of the option to travel by train as in Konkan belt it is always difficult to get reservations during holidays.
We decided to travel During Holi Weekend and ultimately decided to go by Bus (A standard, non-A/C) late at night. Traveling was a bit difficult but the spirit kept us moving, Malvan is 546 km away from Chembur, Mumbai. Thanks to Chembur that it is so very well connected to all the places that we got the bus starting from our own suburb.
Day 1.
We arrived at the Malvan bus depot after a whole nights journey and had our breakfast, there was a small place without a Nameplate. We indulged in yummy Missal Pav, Potato Vadas (Kat Vada - as they call), and delicious Filter Coffee. There onwards we headed towards our stay which was nothing less than a Home Stay at Deobaug beach  - the place for Water Sports. ( I think it was one of the first places in India which had a host of different Water Sports activities and were even cheaper than the ones in Goa).

After checking into the place we freshened up, had lunch (Local Thali) and then slept for a while, we woke up in a while and went on to the beach then, we were loitering on the beach like locals as the beach is very clean, no crowd, not much of activity and calmness. We even visited the beach for a stroll walk at night after dinner. As the beach was just 100 meters away from our stay.
Day 2.
The next morning we headed Towards Tsunami Island for Dolphin Safari to our bad luck Dolphins were feeling lazy to get up early on SATURDAY morning. so we headed towards Tsunami Islands Again for Parasailing which is Cheap but Professional and other water sports activities like, Kayaking, Jet Ski, Banana Boat Rides, Bumper Ride, Speed Boat Etc. then after breakfast and getting Fresh we headed towards Tarkarli.

(Me Doing Parasailing)

Tarkarli, on the other hand, has an upper hand in comparison to Devbaug Beach as it has Two MTDC Resorts here and the beach is much more cleaner. Water is TRUE-BLUE. one can enjoy Camel Ride and Parasailing (Jeep Based). Instead, we try to get indulged in Culinary Craft and enjoyed mouthwatering local buffet lunch and retired to our beds for a nap.
I woke up in the evening and we planned to go towards Chivala Beach, Rock Gardens, Malvan Jetty/ Beach,  Malvan Market, Jay Ganesh Temple, Hanuman Mandir, etc.

(this picture is from the rock garden)

(One more - Me Posing towards the Camera. Dabbing in my style :P)

And then at night, we headed towards Tarkarli beach for STAR Gazing activities in which all of us have an interest. We were shocked as well as happy to see that there was nobody else on the beach except only Three of us together.
The morning we headed towards Malvan Beach as decided earlier, our guide was already waiting for us and we directly headed towards SCUBA DIVING which was indeed a great experience near the Sindhudurg Fort. a small ferry takes you towards the Diving spot where one can see many corals and colored Fishes. I must admit that the seawater was so clean which I had not seen to date. (Obviously latter in life got to witness much better places)
After finishing off with the dive we were at the shore again, it is really very important to bath after the dive as the saltwater may do more harm to the body than any good.
Once we finished we ventured out to the Malwan Market for the one last time to have our lunch and drink Sol Kadi - One of the most famous beverages from Malwan. ( It is made from Garcinia and Coconut Milk)
We took a State Transport Bus to Kudal station and got the general tickets for Mumbai that evening, in order to sign off our trip.

Mughal Invasions in India: Unraveling the Tapestry of Cultural Transformations

The story of undivided India is a kaleidoscope of civilizations, each leaving an indelible mark on the land. Among these narratives, the saga of Mughal invasions stands as a pivotal chapter, reshaping the sociocultural fabric of the subcontinent. The seeds of the Mughal conquest were sown in the early 16th century when Babur, a descendant of Timur and Genghis Khan, set foot in India. The Battle of Panipat in 1526 marked the commencement of Mughal rule, heralding an era that fused Persian refinement with Indian traditions. Babur's ambitions were not merely territorial but also driven by a desire for political supremacy and economic prosperity. The ensuing Mughal reign brought forth a blend of administrative prowess, architectural grandeur, and a rich cultural amalgamation. However, this period also witnessed tumultuous clashes between cultures and religious ideologies. Temples were ravaged, looted, and in some instances, repurposed into mosques. The destruction of cultural heritage ...
